I talked to John yesterday. He was online (he hardly is). In fact he took a day off to rest, so that's why he was online. I wished him a good year, and we talked for a little bit. He asked me what was up in life? I said not much, work is the same and that I got a boyfriend. He said he was kind of dating someone. I said "kind of? Like it's not serious?" and he said : "Exactly!" and that she was way too young. She's 20 so I said that's 6 years difference, it's okay that's what I have with Eric. But he said it was different cause I am working and things like that. Apparently the girl is spoiled by her dad and has no idea what working is like and the cost of things, and he doesn't like that.
It was kind of strange to have this conversation with him. I told him not to think too much about it and see how it goes. And that I have no doubt he will find a woman that meets his expectations, because he's such a great guy. He said "yes, I guess, I'm not looking anyway... I have to find a girl as adorable as you :D" lol. That was funny. He also said he was happy for me. It was weird cause we were both saying compliments to the other. ha ha.
I told Eric that I was speaking with my ex John, and he asked if he knew I had a boyfriend. I said "well I'm telling him right now". It was funny but also strange at the same time of course...

UGH, it snowed yesterday and this morning, and we are not used to snow in France, thus Eric left his house at 4am this morning, and he is still 4 hours away from my house. It will take him about 12 hours to come here, instead of 8... I really think he is crazy. I told him he should go directly where he is supposed to be tomorrow cause it is supposed to be snowing this afternoon and during the night so the roads will be messy tomorrow morning. But he said to me on the phone that there is no way he is doing that. He said the only possibility he does that is that when he arrives I don't open the door... OOoo... Like I would do that...
I was trying to imagine the picture : the guy has driven 12 hours to see me, and I just don't let him in...

Many things : going out with my friends, having my boyfriend next to me, shopping, listening music, playing my video game World of Warcraft with Eric, and / or with my raid people (group of players that get together to down some boss you wouldn't be able to down if you were alone... And we are 20 people in my raid, and I love doing it on the afternoons, some people I like less, but I like most of the people there, we have lots of fun :)

HAPPY NEW YEAR Everyone!!! :) Hope you all had good holidays!!
I need to change my xanga background. And update it more often...
Eric's gone Sunday afternoon, so last week, I didn't have much time. :D It was very nice to have a man at home to cook for me, do the dishes and take care of me. lol. At some point, he even told me "don't worry, it's not just for now that I'm cooking and doing the dishes you know, 20 years from now, I'd still be doing it."
So for Christmas, he got me an awesome lingerie outfit. If you girls have heard about the French lingerie designer Chantal Thomas, that's from her...(www.chantalthomass.fr there is an English version) It's soooo pretty. (it was sooo expensive too. I don't even want to say because I'm ashamed... OOoo. lol. (I did find my outfit : the bra : http://www.orcanta.fr/image.htm?id=1469 but mine is black and purple and the tanga they didn't have in the store so can't show it to you). We had to do two shops to get the whole outfit, cause they didn't have my bra size at the first store... damn them.. ha ha). The tanga was in another store, and the girls of the first lingerie store told us to come show it to them cause they didn't have them... I know my girlfriends in France will be jealous. I love having a man that loves lingerie that much... 
He also got me tonnnns of chocolate, including Swiss chocolate since Switzerland is close to where he lives right now...
I got him the director's cut version of Sin City, cause he loves the movie and "only" had it in the collector edition... Yeah, well, he's really crazy of "collector" stuff... lol. When he opened it, he said he should be more careful about what he says when we are shopping... hi hi. Cause that's when we were shopping (still as friends that time too) that he said "ohhh nooon, can't believe this! I have to get the director's cut version!" :D
Yesterday, so Monday, he got news of his job, cause he is in a "consulting agency" (not sure how that works over there, if those exist really), and since his job is over, they have to find them another one... Right now, he's just paid for staying at home... He even has a friend who got paid for 6 months for staying at home... So we are joking that right now he is paid to play the video game where we met (who said geeks, huh? :D).
So his boss called him yesterday and apparently, there would be a job like 2 hours south Paris... So we looked and it would put us at 2 hours and 30 minutes by car... (3 hours in train, not too bad). Which is a lot better than the 10 hours now... lol. So he thinks he will agree on taking that job, cause that would mean we could see each other every week-end.
Of course, for my career, I hope to get a job in my hometown in July (they are creating a radio station there in my society so I hope I have a chance to get the job), so I told him that would put us at 3h30 then... He said "well yeah I know that already, no worries". I added that if I get that job in my hometown, I won't be wanting to move instead for a more interesting job in Paris, or a TV job or on a real news radio station... He said "well yeah I know that... I'm aware of that"...
I was talking with one of my friend in Paris that got married this summer to her Dutch boyfriend, and she said that was the problem in the long distance relationships, one of the person has to "sacrifice" their career. She said her boyfriend sacrified everything to come to France and live with her. (he left his family and friends, I'm not sure I can do that...). So I told her I wasn't ready to do that... But of course, we are not there with Eric, I just want to think of things before... lol. And want things to be clear. But he told me his society has many different places in France where he could work, so it's not a problem really. Apparently he thinks they have things to do around my hometown. Cause like we said, if things work out between us (and for some reason, I feel they will, at least for a good amount of time), we have to think about the possibilites...
So yeah, I spent a wonderful week with my boyfriend... I will post pictures of the party for New Year's Eve, we had to dress up... I wasn't really dress up as anything but a working girl... A friend of mine was a Guiness, another one as a Scottish guy. And Eric... omg... his was just too funny. He said he hadn't put it on in like 6 years! lol.
I'll post pics when he has sent them to me cause he took all the pictures. And I haven't... heh heh.
Oh yeah, I also got to meet his aunt and his cousins (girls) that are 22, and 24. They are both really nice. And I met his step sister too who lives close to mine actually. (I mean like 30 minutes away, his aunt is more like 50 minutes). They took pics of us cause at some point the two kids of his sister were on our laps, it was sweet... heh heh. And his step sister is happy cause she said now she will see her brother more often. lol.
But needless to say, I was kind of stressed to meet members of his family (specially the aunt actually). It seems so "formal", and we haven't been together a month yet (well okay close but still... :D)

| MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL! JOYEUX NOËL!!  It's good to be home for an entire week! Yesterday the traffic wasn't too bad on the way home so I arrived around 11:30am. I then talked to my dad, we had lunch, and then I was tired so I went to bed for a while. Woke up and went downtown to meet up with my friend Sophie. I hardly see her because she lives in the north of France now, and it's pretty far. We did some more shopping, I finally got the thing for my dad, and the thing was sooo heavy... We went to eat sushi for dinner, and when we were having dessert, we saw an old friend of ours from highschool sitting on the table next to us. He was actually with one of his friend, and she was with me at school a while ago! So we got to chat, and such... Get news of what we were doing now. :) We exchange our mobile numbers but Sophie was sad cause the guy didn't ask for hers. I told her that she didn't have the same friendship I had with him (we spent hours and hours on the phone together, he was my best friend at the time, we were always together. lol)... And she said that when his mom wasn't home, he'd come eat lunch at her place, so yeah she was kind of pissed I think! After that we went to a bar to meet up with some other of my friends. I told the ones who didn't know about my new boyfriend. lol. Same reaction as the others about the necklace... heh heh. I did chat quite a lot with one of my friend from Paris about Eric and such... She was happy for me and said she was tired to be with stupid guys and bastards so she is better out single. I said that was totally true, and I'm pretty much like that too. I'd rather be single, than being with the wrong person... :) She said she likes the way her life is as a single. I said I really liked my life that way too. And I didn't even want a boyfriend, it just happened I guess! And I'm glad. I said to her, that I fear I'm starting to have really deep feelings for him. lol. But I'll see how that goes when he's here anyways. Only 4 more days to go.  Today we are having a "Christmas lunch" with my dad, cause tonight it's with my mom this year. And the 25th too. On the 26th my mom is leaving with her boyfriend, so we will get back to our dad's with my sister. I wonder if we should have the presents today or on the 26th. lol.
We haven't made a Christmas tree anywhere, neither at mom nor at my dad... It sucks. I love decorating the Christmas tree. I told my dad that... Anyways, I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas, and enjoy your time in your families :) KISSES :) | | |

Sooo... It's finally the vacation tomorrow. I can't wait. I have too
many things to do, so I'm staying home tomorrow afternoon, and will
leave to go back to my hometown on Saturday morning.
That will leave me some time to finish my suitcase, the stuff I have to iron and some cleaning in the apartment.
Yesterday, I almost finished all my Christmas shopping. I had to find
something for my grandma, my best friend's parents and my dad. I had NO
idea whatsoever to get them... I ended up getting a basic white sweater
for my grandma, a package with tea, biscuits and many things for my
best friend's parents. But my dad is still missing...
We have no idea with my sister...
After that, I came back home, and started to do some apartement
cleaning. I don't want my place to be a mess for when Eric comes.
He will be driving all day on the 28th, to be in my hometown in the
late afternoon. He has a 10 hours drive minimum (without stops).
Apparently it costs 150 euros (about $180) just for the gas and the
highway (our highways are not free), just for the round trip.
I said that the train was cheaper, but then he doesn't have his car,
and since his job is over at the beginning of January, he can't move
back to wherever he could work if his boss calls.
Cause that is the thing, his "mission" is over tomorrow, but since he
is employed in his society, his boss has to find him another place in
France to work, otherwise, they will just pay him to stay home. :P
So it's more than possible that he won't be working the first week of
January, so he'll be staying with me in my apartment. He said he will
cook for me... I'm totally okay with that... heh heh.
So he'll be arriving on the 28th, and we will go out to dinner with my
best friend Sophie. :) On the 31st, we are celebrating New Year's with
two of my friends he met at my birthdays. Two guys that also play the
video game we both play, and where we met. In game today, I talked to
one of them about what we will eat for New Year's, he isn't sure yet.
He doesn't want to cook all day, which I can understand. I said we can
come earlier and help him out. (the guy in question cooks really really
well, in his family, it's always men who cook :D, he even game me tips
on cooking once we were chatting on MSN).
I am pausing a bit the whole gaming thing probably during the vacation.
I'm feeling that I don't have much to do in the game anymore. I mostly
play with my friends now, and when none of them are online, I don't
play. I'm happy I managed to lose a bit of interest in the game because
I was truely becoming a geek. ha ha. (well I'm still a geek but less...)
Yesterday with Eric we joked on the phone cause he said "well since I
will be staying at your place, I have to post on the forum of my guild
(a group of players) to tell them I won't be there the next two weeks,
so they can't be counting on me, I won't be playing in the evenings."
I said "well you could, but I might not like it". And he was like "well
you won't be playing with your group of people in the afternoons?"
I said "well not the leader said we won't be playing before January, 8th anyways"....
And we both joked "well if not, you just bring your computer and we call play, I have the wifi"...
And I added "can you imagine how geek that would be?" :P
So no, we won't be playing. He'll prolly play while I'm working though, but I don't care. :)
